Provide education pertaining to the benefits of auctions to consumers.
Promote ethical behavior among auctioneers.

Increase membership and involvement of members of all aspects of auctions.
To advance the auction marketing concept as a dynamic and most effective means of marketing assets, IAA must:
- Promote and influence legislation
- Educate and influence governmental agencies and leaders in the private sector as to the effectiveness of auction sales
- Compile and assimilate data pertaining to the effectiveness of auctions for the use and benefits of IAA members.
