Resumé/Bio

A third generation auctioneer, I followed in the footsteps of my father Cecil Meier.  Licensed since 1986, in both Indiana and

Kentucky, my husband Kenny and I own and operate Minor Auction Service, Inc., Madison, IN.  Auctions are done on site and at

our center, Minor Auction Center, 3140 Clifty Dr., St. Rd. 62, Madison, IN.

A member in good standing with the Certified Auctioneers Institute, I received my designation in 1997, followed with my GPPA

(General Personal Property Appraiser) designation in 1998.  In August, 2007, I graduated from the prestigious Reppert's

School of auctioneering.  I attend on a regular basis continuing education seminars on antiques, art and decorative art

topics as well as coins, collectibles, guns, state and national auction law, real estate, general personal property and other related

subjects pertaining to the auction method of marketing.

I have served on the State Board of Directors, becoming the first woman elected in the history of the IAA Board. During my second

term, I was elected Secretary/Treasurer, 2008 and in 2009 elected to the position of Vice-President.

Having served chairperson for several committees, I am presently chairperson for the Indiana Auctioneers Magazine.

I was first runner-up in the IAA Men's and Women's Champion Auctioneer Bid Calling Contest in 2004 and before that, finalist

several years and finalist in the Women's Bid Calling International Championships, National Auctioneer's Convention, Nashville,

TN, 1997.

I taught Elementary Music at Bradie M. Shrum, Salem, Indiana 42 years before retiring in 2005. During the 1994-1995 school

year, I was chosen the Indiana Elementary Music Teacher of the Year. Since retiring, I continue to work with children as a

volunteer in vocal music and folk dance at Deputy Elementary School, Deputy, IN.

Married, 43 years, my husband and I have three children and four grand children. I love working with people and spending
